Here, MPIC 2027 combines Rigid-Body Kinematics (RBK) with Finite Element Analysis (FEA). <\/p>\n<p>Engineers can now define ball, hinge and piston connections, among others. Complex mesh refinement around hinges, axes or connection points is less often needed. <\/p>\n<p>Also, the physical geometry of a joint, such as a hinge axis, does not always have to be fully present in the model. In traditional solid-element FEA, this is often difficult because native rotational degrees of freedom are missing. <\/p>\n<p>MPIC 2027 allows moments and rotation constraints to be applied to a Body, Face, Edge or Curve.
