System requirements

IronCAD is a design software package made for Microsoft Windows. As of IronCAD version 2018, only 64-bit versions of Windows are supported. Further down this page you will find a table showing which Windows versions are compatible.

Required specifications

To run IronCAD, a PC should meet at least the following specifications:

  • 64-Bit Windows operating system
  • Pentium 4 CPU or higher (current AMD processors supported)
  • 4 GB Memory (8 GB or more for large assembly drawings)
  • Direct X and/or OpenGL compatible accelerated video card
  • 2 GB free disk space for installation

Note that these are the minimum requirements to run IronCAD. Better specifications are required for better performance.

iDraw Pro

This workstation is suitable for the IronCAD user who primarily does a lot of drawing. Our recommended configuration features an AMD Ryzen 7 or Intel Core i7, 32GB of working memory and an RTX A2000 graphics card. The configuration can be easily configured on the website.

iDraw Pro Mini

Just as powerful as the iDraw Pro, but in a smaller package. An ideal workstation for your desk.
