Van Keulen Interieurbouw is a family business with a long history. Founded in 1944 by carpenter and furniture maker Lammert van Keulen. Now, after 80 years of growth and development, Van Keulen Interieurbouw is a leading and respected player within the Dutch and European interior design and shopfitting industry.
Custom interior design
Van Keulen Interieurbouw is the absolute specialist in the Netherlands when it comes to interior design for the retail and project market. They offer customers the optimal interior solution for every situation. Customization is the standard. Everything they do is focused on one goal: fulfilling customers’ wishes down to the last detail. The company has extensive production facilities for processing wood, metal and glass. This provides the ability to produce all interior elements in virtually any shape, color and size to meet the customer’s needs.

This extensive work, different materials and custom projects require powerful software. More than 25 years ago, Van Keulen Interieurbouw made the choice for IronCAD. After extensive research, IronCAD proved to offer the most productivity gains, the company switched from 2D to 3D package.

Van Keulen Interieurbouw benefits from IronCAD in several areas. Within the design department, productivity has improved by more than 20 percent compared to previous programs. In addition, the sales department also uses IronCAD. Here they communicate 3D concepts easily and quickly to the customer so that they can be converted into products that are then used within the production department for clear processing instructions.

Custom CAD designs
To stay ahead, they must provide custom CAD designs with lead times that are always short. This is a major focus point of the company. In fact, Van Keulen Interieurbouw goes so far, that when asked if they can deliver next day, they will actually deliver it the next day.
Integration with Dynfos ERP
To meet these expectations, they needed a CAD design program that would dramatically increase productivity. Also, it had to be able to integrate with their ERP system to simplify planning, production and delivery. Also, the design program had to fit with the company’s future growth and planning, as they are always looking to the future to stay ahead of the competition.
Controlling machinery
Control of the machinery is automated with Para-Flex CAM. A variety of machine types(HOMAG) are controlled. Including both 3- and 5-axis CNC (nesting) machines and more.
