Akkermans Interieurbouw has been engaged in interior construction since 1961. The Brabant-based company designs and creates custom interiors for hospitality, retail, office, projects and homes.

In 1961, Akkermans Interieurbouw was founded as a one-man carpentry company by Mr. Cor Akkermans. He started with small carpentry and interior work, such as windows, doors, cabinets and so on. Over time, Akkermans Interieurbouw grew into making complete interiors and renovations for stores, offices, catering establishments and private homes.

Various projects

After being taken over by the sons in 1988, together with twelve employees, they continued to specialize in complete interior construction for hotel, café, restaurant, cafeteria, reception desks for companies, offices, dentist and doctor’s offices, nursing homes and town halls, as well as walk-in closets, wall cabinets, TV and book cabinets, radiator cabinets, kitchens and custom tables. Each again with its own atmosphere and appearance.

Getting Started with IronCAD

In 2005, the company started designing with IronCAD, giving the client a good idea of the design with a real visualized image. Based on customers’ ideas, Akkermans Interieurbouw uses their advice and craftsmanship to come up with a unique interior or custom furniture. Each interior gets its own atmosphere and appearance: no one is the same.

“I think the beauty of working with IronCAD is that adjustments to your scene are immediately visible on your 2D drawing.”

Knowledge in practice

Erwin tells us more about IronCAD at Akkermans Interieurbouw, where he has been working as an interior designer for 16 years now. In recent years he has been applying practical knowledge in designing beautiful projects. “IronCAD I initially taught myself, with videos from IronCAD Academy. Recently, in addition, I took a learning course at Dynfos”.

Adjustments in real time

“I think the beauty of working with IronCAD is that adjustments to your scene are immediately visible on your 2D drawing,” Erwin. That way an adjustment is quickly made. Using KeyShot, Akkermans Interieurbouw provides customers with an even more realistic picture of what their new customization will look like.
