HangOn

More efficient design of masking and suspension systems with IronCAD

From smart components to complete line solutions. HangOn accelerates product development and visualization with IronCAD.

HangOn is a global leader in masking and suspension systems for industrial coating plants. The company, originally Swedish, operates in more than 40 countries and supports customers worldwide with efficient solutions for coating processes.

About HangOn

HangOn develops products essential for industrial painting processes, such as plugs, hooks and suspension systems. These ensure optimal protection and positioning of parts during painting.

The challenge

With international growth and increasing customer demands, HangOn needed a flexible and efficient way to design. Traditional CAD tools limited the speed of development and visual communication of solutions.

The solution: IronCAD

In 2016, HangOn chose IronCAD after extensive testing within its parent company. The software proved to better suit the company’s needs for flexibility and speed.

With IronCAD, HangOn can now:

  • Design and present solutions visually immediately
  • Develop both standard products and customizations quickly
  • Apply designs directly within complete line concepts
  • Collaborate and communicate efficiently with customers

“IronCAD has just a little more to offer than alternative 3D drawing programs.”

Visual design speeds up the process

IronCAD enables HangOn to elaborate and share ideas directly in 3D before production starts. This speeds up decision-making and prevents misunderstandings.

“We can draw the solution directly into the product and apply it immediately within a line concept.”

Working efficiently in one 3D environment

A key advantage for HangOn is working with multiple components within one scene.

  • Modeling multiple components simultaneously
  • Building and modifying assemblies directly
  • Faster iteration during the design process

“The ability to model multiple products in one scene and combine them into one large assembly allows me to work productively.”

Smart use of libraries

HangOn takes full advantage of the libraries in IronCAD. By reusing proprietary components and standard parts, the team works faster and more consistently.

  • Reuse of existing parts
  • Use of Mechanical library with standard components.
  • Fewer errors and higher design speed

Result: faster design and better communication

With IronCAD, HangOn designs more efficiently and communicates more clearly with clients and internal teams. This leads to faster turnaround times and better end results.
